Govee has launched the Strip Light with Skyline Kit, which is now available in the US and on the way to Europe. Designed to offer an immersive lighting experience in your living space, the company describes the product as offering ‘wall-washing effects’.
In the Govee Strip Light with Skyline kit is a strip light in one of two lengths, 13.1 ft (~4 m) or 19.7 ft (~6 m), and an adjustable length pole. There are 60 RGBWWIC LEDs per meter (3.3 ft), delivering up to 350 lumens brightness, and LuminBlend technology is said to deliver precise colors with smooth transitions. You can choose from over 154 scene modes, 16 of which sync with music, or create your own effects from a range of colors and styles. Plus, the light strip can be split into 12 independently controllable segments.
Users can access these settings in the Govee Home app, which is also home to an AI lighting bot that generates lighting effects based on a voice or text prompt. Alternatively, you can remotely control the smart lights with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands. On top of this, Matter compatibility means it will integrate with a wide range of smart home ecosystems.
In the US, you can now buy the Govee Strip Light with Skyline Kit in 13.1 ft and 19.7 ft lengths for $119.99 and $149.99, respectively. The shorter option is expected to retail in the UK for £99.99, though the price of the longer product has yet to be confirmed. These smart lighting products will also launch in EU countries, as indicated by Amazon product listings. It is thought that the Govee Strip Light with Skyline Kit will launch in Europe in the next few weeks.
