Eve Devices has already invited feedback on the keyboard and chassis of its second-generation "crowd-designed" convertible, the V 2020. Now, it's the turn of its chipset, RAM, wireless connectivity and other specs. The company seems to want to assess the popularity of more expensive options with their new poll.

Eve Devices has released a new blog post in which the SKUs for the Eve V 2020 appear to be outlined. These options apply to the potential Microsoft Surface competitor's processor, RAM, SSD capacity, display, connectivity and OS. The company also now offers possible customers the chance to express their preference for these specs in terms of their price.

Accordingly, the company has a new poll in which choices between more and less expensive specs are up for a vote. For example, fans can choose between a Core i5 processor or an i7 - which would cost about US$200 more compared to a base model with the first chipset.

Neither processor is identified by name, although it is known that either would be 11th-generation Intel silicon. There are also choices between a "default" 1920x1200 display, or a 3840x2400 one for ~$50 more, and between Windows 10 Pro or the Home edition of this OS for ~$50 less.

Therefore, Eve seems to be canvassing its fan base so as to get an idea of how much of each component (particularly higher-end ones: for example, it could offer SKUs with 4G/LTE and GPS as well as Wi-Fi 6, for a ~$200 mark-up on the final base-model price) to order from suppliers prior to the mass-production of the V 2020.

Unfortunately, this new stage in the convertible's development does not come with a hint as to its launch date.
