Casio has released the new G-Shock GBA950 series watches in the US. Following a series of leaks and rumors, the model launched in Japan in May 2025 and was then released in Europe earlier in June, where it is known as the GBA-950.
In the US, you can now buy the Casio G-Shock GBA950-1A (black) and the GBA950-7A (off-white) for $150 each. These watches are currently available at the brand’s online store, with free shipping in six to ten business days.
Casio’s new GBA950 watches are designed to help you to track your run or walk. Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, they can use your smartphone’s GPS to track your distance travelled, and you can monitor your step count and calories. There is an Auto Lap feature, and it is also compatible with Strava. Other tools include a 1/100 second stopwatch, a countdown timer, five daily alarms and hourly time signals. Plus, these watches support dual time zones and have an LED backlight to allow you to read the digital display in low lighting.
The GBA950 is a Shock Resistant watch with a resin casing and resin band. According to Casio, the new band design, which uses “origami engineering”, provides a particularly comfortable fit. The watch measures 48.5 x 43.9 x 16 mm (~1.9 x 1.7 x 0.6 inches) and weighs 53 g (~1.9 oz). It is water resistant to 200 m and should run for two years on a CR2025 battery. It is unclear why the third purple colorway, the GBA950-2A, is not currently available in this market.
