Casio G-Shock x Surfrider Foundation solar-charging watch now available in the UK

The Casio G-Shock x Surfrider Foundation Japan G-5600SFJ-9 watch is now available in the UK. This new model was released in Japan earlier this month. The watch manufacturer has collaborated with other branches of this non-governmental organization (NGO) before on models like the G-5600SRF.

In the UK, you can now buy the Casio G-Shock G-5600SFJ-9 for £129 at the brand’s online store. It is worth noting that this product is excluded from voucher codes. Customers get free standard delivery, estimated at two to four business days from dispatch.

The G-5600SFJ-9 is a golden yellow watch with a bio-based resin casing and strap. This shock resistant model offers Tough Solar charging to extend the battery life beyond the 12 month estimate. Designed for surfers and extreme sports enthusiasts, this is a shock-resistant watch, water resistant to 200 m.

Features of the Surfrider collaboration model include support for five world time zones, with users offered 48 cities, and hourly time signals. There is also a 1/100 second stopwatch, a countdown timer and five daily alarms. An LED backlight should help users read the digital watch in low lighting, and a battery level indicator lets you know when it is time to recharge. This wearable measures 46.7 x 43.2 x 12.7 mm (~1.8 x 1.7 x 0.5 inches) and weighs 47 g (~1.7 oz).

Whether or when the Casio G-Shock x Surfrider Foundation Japan G-5600SFJ-9 will launch in other European countries or in North America remains to be seen. For reference, the 2024 G-Shock × Surfrider Foundation G-5600SRF watch was launched in the EU, the US and Canada.
