CES 2023 | Asus launches a new wireless gaming mouse and a 75% mechanical keyboard with hot-swappable switches

Asus has launched a new keyboard and mouse to complement the numerous gaming laptops and desktops it unveiled at CES 2023. The ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition gaming mouse can be paired with Asus' new ROG Hone Ace Aim Lab Edition mouse pad and the Asus ROG Azoth 75% gaming keyboard. All three components will be purchasable in January 2023.

Asus ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition

The Asus ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition weighs only 30 grams and uses an in-house ROG AimPoint optical sensor with 36,000 DPI sensitivity. Asus claims the mouse buttons are good for up to 70 million clicks. One can further customize the mouse with Aim Lab Settings Optimizer software. The mouse has an ambidextrous design but the programmable keys are only on the right side. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless via the included dongle and USB-C. One can purchase the ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition gaming mouse for 160 EUR and the accompanying mouse pad (508 x 420 x 3 mm) for EUR 36.

Asus ROG Azoth

Moving on to the Asus ROG Azoth, one gets a keyboard with Asus's ROG NX mechanical switches and keyboard stabilizers. They are pre-lubed and hot-swappable, allowing users to customize their typing experience with third-party switches. Asus even throws in some lubricant, saving users the trouble of picking it up externally. The keyboard has an OLED display with a three-way knob and side button controls. Unfortunately, there are no macro buttons, which is disappointing, given the keyboard costs EUR 146. Connectivity options are identical to the above gaming mouse, but there is no word about its battery life.
