Asus ROG Strix XG27UCS gaming monitor brings 4K IPS panel with 160 Hz refresh rate for $449
The Asus ROG Strix XG27UCS has made its debut as a high-end gaming monitor with performance-focused features. It sports a 27-inch 4K IPS screen that aims to offer stunning visuals. This panel also has a 160 Hz refresh, which, combined with ELMB Sync and G-Sync, makes the display offer "supersmooth tear-free" gameplay.
In addition, the IPS panel comes with a wide DCI-P3 gamut and DisplayHDR 400 certification. Asus says that these two make the ROG Strix XG27UCS ensure optimal HDR performance and good color output. There's Variable Overdrive 2.0 technology too. This tech promises to deliver optimal visuals by making the panel dynamically shift between overdrive settings when the frames fluctuate.
Besides, the ROG Strix XG27UCS has AI-powered GamePlus technology. It allows the gaming monitor to make a real-time analysis of the scenes to adjust the GamePlus crosshair and offer improved accuracy. Asus has also integrated the Dynamic Shadow Boost feature to brighten dark areas without making the bright regions overexposed.
Moreover, Asus has revamped the stand of the ROG Strix XG27UCS. It has a smaller footprint and comes with a mobile groove, allowing gamers to dock their phone on the bottom while gaming. This groove also offers easy access to the monitor's USB-C port.
Other I/O ports of the Asus ROG Strix XG27UCS include one HDMI 2.0 port, a DisplayPort 1.4, and one headphone jack. The USB-C port of the gaming monitor also supports DP Alt Mode, which means you can use it as a display input port. You can learn more from the complete spec sheet attached at the end.
Asus hasn't yet announced when the ROG Strix XG27UCS will be available for purchase, but we did get a price tag. The 4K monitor will retail at $449. If you're looking for something similar that's already available to purchase, check out the AOC U27G3X (curr. $469.99 on Amazon).
