iQOO 16 design details leak as new tablet gets teased

iQOO has yet to reveal details about its next-generation flagship phone, the iQOO 16. The device is expected to launch in China in September 2026. A new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station has now shed light on its rear design.

According to the source, the smartphone will feature a square camera module with rounded corners. The camera module will reportedly house three rear cameras and include additional detailing around its outer frame. The tipster claims that a newly developed proprietary process will be used for the rear panel. The post also includes an illustration outlining the camera arrangement.

Previous leaks suggest that the iQOO 16 could feature three 50MP rear cameras. The smartphone is also tipped to feature a 6.85-inch display with a "2K" resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Other expected specifications include a next-gen Snapdragon chipset and an approximately 8,500mAh battery (20K Anker powerbank curr. $59.98 on Amazon).

iQOO's upcoming compact tablet teased

Separately, iQOO flagship-series product manager Wang Kan has teased an upcoming tablet. The post includes an image of a tablet and appears to hint at a compact form factor.

For context, iQOO’s first compact tablet is expected to launch alongside the iQOO 16. Previous leaks suggest that it will feature a high-refresh-rate OLED display, a next-generation Snapdragon flagship chipset, and an active cooling fan. The device is also tipped to pack an approximately 9,000mAh battery with 66W wired charging. However, iQOO has yet to reveal the tablet’s name or specifications.
