Tecno officially launches tablet with "2K" display and LTE connectivity

The Tecno Megapad 2 was previously launched in the Philippines. It features an 11-inch display and a Helio G99 chipset. Now, the company has released the smaller and more affordable Megapad SE 2 in the country.
The tablet features a 9.7-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2,048 x 1,280 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display is also rated for a peak brightness of 550 nits.
The Megapad SE 2 uses the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, featuring an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.0GHz and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Notably, it supports memory expansion of up to 2TB via a microSD card (256GB SanDisk microSD card curr. $59.99 on Amazon).
The camera configuration consists of an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The tablet packs a 7,000mAh battery and supports 18W wired charging through USB-C. The Megapad SE 2 ships with HiOS 16 based on Android 16. It has a single nano-SIM slot and supports 4G LTE connectivity. Other specifications include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a dual-speaker setup.
The tablet measures 7.9mm thick and weighs approximately 387g. It comes in three colorways: Deep Gray, Sandy Titanium, and Iris Purple. The Tecno Megapad SE 2 is now available in the Philippines for PHP 13,499 (~$217) for the 4GB/256GB memory configuration.
