Teclast announces tablet with "2.5K" display, Android 17 and LTE connectivity

Teclast has announced a new tablet called the T60 Mini for the Japanese market. It features a compact form factor with an 8.8-inch display. It has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and supports a 90Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the tablet uses the Unisoc T7300 chipset. It is a 6nm octa-core processor that reaches a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz. The company claims the tablet scores over 650K points on the AnTuTu benchmark. The tablet comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also supports up to 2TB of storage expansion via a microSD card (256GB SanDisk microSD card curr. $59.99 on Amazon).

The tablet comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. Powering the device is a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W PD charging. For comparison, its predecessor, the Teclast T50 Mini, has a smaller 5,100mAh battery and supports 10W charging. Moreover, the T50 Mini has a lower display resolution of 1,340 x 800 pixels, although it offers a higher 120Hz refresh rate.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4. The tablet also supports GPS, BDS, GLONASS, Galileo, and A-GPS for navigation. It measures approximately 8mm thick and weighs 324g.

On the software side, the T60 Mini ships with TeclastOS 3.0 based on Android 17. The Teclast T60 Mini is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in mid-September 2026. At the time of writing, Teclast has not announced its price or confirmed availability in other markets.
