The Pixel Watch is almost upon us after months of teasing. Ahead of tomorrow's launch event, a leaker has shared the smartwatch's specifications, including the presence of 2 GB of RAM but the lowly Exynos 9110 SoC.

Leaker Yogesh Brar has shared numerous Pixel Watch specifications just over a day before the smartwatch's launch. Supposedly sourced from a French retailer, the leak does not contain pricing information. However, Google is rumoured to have set Pixel Watch pricing at US$349, with US$399 for the LTE model.

According to Brar, the Pixel Watch has a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with a 320 PPI. Situated within a 41 mm case, the display is alleged to deliver up to 1,000 nits of brightness and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 3D. As Google's marketing images have already shown, the Pixel Watch will leverage always-on display (AoD) functionality too, mirroring its competitors.

Unsurprisingly, the Pixel Watch will arrive with Wear OS 3.5, not Wear OS 4. Reportedly, the smartwatch be capable of taking ECGs as well and will be waterproof to 5 ATM. Unfortunately, the Pixel Watch will only provide up to 24 hours of battery life, a poor showing compared to the Apple Watch Series 8 and Galaxy Watch5 series.

Potentially, the poor battery life stems from the use of the Exynos 9110, a chipset that made way for the Exynos W920. Brar adds that Google has complemented the ageing chipset with 2 GB of RAM and a Cortex M33 co-processor, the effects of which are unknown at this stage. Either way, it will be interesting to see how the Pixel Watch compares against contemporary smartwatches, particularly the Galaxy Watch5.
