9to5Google has learned details about the watch straps that Google plans to offer with the Pixel Watch, which the company teased in May at I/O 2022. So far, Google has shared marketing images of silicone straps in a few colours, including a vivid yellow option still displayed on its website. However, 9to5Google claims that Google has more straps planned than it has shown so far.
Supposedly, Google has developed 'at least seven' straps, including a Milanese option. Mirroring the Apple Watch equivalent, the Pixel Watch's Milanese strap will have a magnetic clasp, unlike its silicone equivalents. Additionally, Google will sell its Milanese strap in black, gold and silver finishes, matching the colours in which it plans to offer the Pixel Watch.
Moreover, 9to5Google believes that there will be a link bracelet option, along with lighter and darker leather strap options, plus a choice of fabric and 'stretch' bands. In other words, Google will release its take on Apple's Solo Loop, a single piece of material for which you must choose the correct size to achieve a good fit.
For some reason, Google will not offer all these band styles at launch. Currently, Google is expected to release the Pixel Watch in the autumn alongside the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, likely in late September or early October.
