DJI Mini 3: Pricing and a release date leaks for the Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro
In December, @DealsDrone shared a roadmap for DJI product releases in 2022. Subsequently, the leaker has provided details about the Mini 3 series, which they claimed would arrive in April. Now, @DealsDrone has outlined when DJI is likely to unveil the Mini 3 series, thought to consist of at least the Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro.
Caveated as a guess, @DealsDrone expects the Mini 3 series to debut on April 28, which falls on a Thursday this year. While @DealsDrone has provided any evidence to support their assertion, pricing for the entire Mini 3 series has leaked online. Brought to our attention by @JasperEllens, the leak suggests that the Mini 3 will be twice the price of the Mini 2. Specifically, the Mini 3 series is rumoured to launch at the following prices:
- DJI Mini 3: CNY 3,299 (~US$519)
- DJI Mini 3 Fly More Combo: CNY 4,999 (~US$786)
- DJI Mini 3 Fly More Combo with new DJI RC: CNY 6,999 (~US$1,100)
- DJI Mini 3 Pro: CNY 4,299 (~US$676)
- DJI Mini 3 Pro Fly More Combo: CNY 5,999 (~US$943)
- DJI Mini 3 Pro Fly More Combo with new DJI RC: CNY 7,999 (~US$1,257)
Unfortunately, it remains unclear how DJI distinguishes the Mini 3 Pro from the Mini 3. So far, leaks have centred on the Mini 3 Pro, which is expected to feature a redesigned chassis compared to the Mini 2 with a new camera and better obstacle detection. Please note that these prices will probably be higher in the Eurozone because of import taxes and duties. Likewise, they may not directly correlate with how much DJI charges for the Mini 3 series in the US.
