DJI has confirmed that it plans to release new drones under the Mini 3 series. The confirmation arrives a few days after a pictured of the DJI Mini 3 Pro leaked, confirming its design and several specifications. Incidentally, the shell of a Mini 3 drone has appeared online too.

More information about DJI's next drone series has leaked, courtesy of @DealsDrone on Twitter. To recap, the design of the Mini 3 Pro has already surfaced online and has been analysed for potential clues. Since then, DJI Tech Support has confirmed to fans on Chinese social media that it will soon release the Mini 3 series.

Unfortunately, DJI has not provided any further details on when it will unveil its upcoming drones. However, rumour has it that the company will only wait until April to do so, as we discussed in December. Reputedly, DJI will announce new products in June, July, September and November too, including the Pocket 3.

Additionally, @DealsDrone has shared a video of the Mini 3's shell, embedded below. Seemingly republished from Bilibili, the video appears to corroborate the Mini 3 Pro's leaked design. While the video does not offer up any specifications, the Mini 3 series is expected to be capable of shooting vertically with a 1/1.3-inch CMOS image sensor. Apparently, the Mini 3 will launch with a revised controller as well, which has a large display and two joysticks.
