DJI Mini 3 Pro hands-on video emerges with redesign, a larger battery, cameras and more shown
DJI remains more or less silent on the whereabouts of the Mini 3 series, its replacements for its ageing Mini 2 drones. Reputedly, DJI will announce new compact drones this month, which a new hands-on video supports. Embedded below, the video also tallies with a leaked Mini 3 series product poster, covered separately.

As the poster suggested, the Mini 3 Pro features a redesigned chassis that still weighs 249 g. Impressively, DJI has managed to keep the Mini 3 Pro at that weight despite including a larger battery than the one in the Mini 2. For reference, the Mini 3 Pro has a 2,453 mAh battery, compared to the Mini 2’s 2,250 mAh capacity. Also, DJI has equipped the Mini 3 Pro with new obstacle avoidance sensors that flank its gimbal camera.
Seemingly, the Mini 3 Pro has a 3-axis gimbal and a high megapixel camera with an f/1.7 aperture and a 24 mm equivalent focal length. Unfortunately, it remains unclear at this point how much the Mini 3 Pro will cost and whether DJI will undercut its competitors, such as Autel. Moreover, previous leaks suggested that the Mini 3 would join the Mini 3 Pro, but there has been no sight of that model yet.
