Alleged DJI Mini 3 Pro leaks sporting a full redesign
In December, @DealsDrone revealed a supposedly leaked DJI roadmap containing the likes of the Mini 3, RS3, Inspire 3 and the Pocket 3. While rumours about new DJI products have been fairly quiet since then, @JasperEllens may have unearthed the first sighting of the Mini 3 Pro. While such an image would be simple to fake, Ellens does not believe that someone has photoshopped it together.
Instead, he has concluded that DJI has redesigned its Mini drone for the third-generation model. Seemingly, Ellens has shared a Mavic 3 Pro promotional poster or a close-up of the device's box. Either way, the image points to the Mini 3 Pro featuring sensors, redesigned arms and a more sculptured chassis.
Also, writing on the Mini 3 Pro's housing implies that its camera has an f/1.7 aperture and a 24 mm equivalent focal length. Reportedly, this could be the 48 MP camera from the Mavic Air 2, a 1/2" CMOS sensor that also supports 4K/60 FPS videos. Incidentally, the camera housing looks too fixed to feature a 3-axis gimbal or equivalent.
Currently, Ellens has only provided the one photo showing what also looks like a DJI Smart Controller. Specifications for the Mini 3 Pro remain unknown at this stage, so it remains to be seen how it will differ from the presumed Mini 3. According to last December's leak, DJI will announce the Mini 3 series in April.
