DJI Mini 3 Pro: 'A Twist in the Plot' hardware launch date revealed for upcoming drone
DJI has announced its next hardware, confirming rumours twofold. Specifically, several leakers alleged that DJI would begin a teaser campaign today, which has proved to be the case. Moreover, DJI will host its hardware event on May 10 at 09:00 EDT, or 14:00 UTC.
While DJI has not confirmed from when its new product will be available, the same leakers claim that it will be pre-orderable from May 10 as well. Unsurprisingly, the device in question is the Mini 3 Pro, DJI's next 249 g drone, which also has a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor capable of capturing images at 48 MP. Incidentally, the Mini 3 Pro is expected to ship from May 17.
Dubbed 'A Twist in the Plot', it seems that DJI is referring to the Mini 3 Pro's camera hardware. Not only will it offer improved optics compared to the Mini 2, it will be able to shoot vertically, should you wish to do so. Separately, DJI is accepting applications to its SkyPixel Product Tryout Program, effectively allowing people to become product testers. Applications remain open until May 18, but the SkyPixel committee will not contact shortlisted candidates until May 25, at the earliest.
