While DJI has only just released the Mini 3 Pro, there is plenty of evidence that the company has other products planned for the near future. As we discussed previously, @DealsDrone provided details about a next-generation DJI FPV, originally believed to be the FPV Mini. Now, it seems that DJI will launch the FPV Mini as the Avata, which should be about double the weight of the Mini 3 Pro.
Based on December's leaked roadmap, DJI could unveil the Avata in July, or at least some point this summer, considering the Mini 3 Pro's delay from April to May. Incidentally, hands-on pictures of the Avata have emerged on social media, showcasing the upcoming drone's design. As expected, DJI has overhauled its First Person View offering from the FPV to the Avata. Specifically, the company has encased the Avata's four rotor blades in circular housings that interconnect. Unfortunately, many other specifications remain unknown at this stage.
Separately, @OsitaLV and @DealsDrone have discovered a leaked picture of the DJI RS3, albeit only its gimbal element. As DroneDJ notes, the RS3 resembles its predecessor, which DJI introduced in 2020. While RS3 pricing has not leaked yet, the RS2 launched for US$849. Potentially, DJI could reveal a successor to the RSC3 as well. Moreover, @OsitaLV asserts that the RS3 and Inspire 3 drone may debut simultaneously, pegging them to June or September 2022 releases. While neither has provided any more details about the Inspire 3, the pair shared a field test video last month.
