ASUS has showcased the ROG Strix XG27AQMR, a 27-inch gaming monitor that succeeds the ROG Strix XG27AQM. Based around a 1440p panel, the ROG Strix XG27AQMR offers VESA DisplayHDR certification and a 300 Hz refresh rate, among other features.

ASUS has presented the ROG Strix XG27AQMR, a successor to the similarly named ROG Strix XG27AQM. Unsurprisingly, the former shares plenty of features with the latter. However, the ROG Strix XG27AQMR has a faster refresh rate than its predecessor, which also makes it one of the fastest 27-inch and 1440p monitors around.

According to ASUS, the ROG Strix XG27AQMR combines its 1440p native resolution with a 300 Hz refresh rate, 30 Hz higher than its predecessor. In other words, the ROG Strix XG27AQMR offers an 11.1% higher refresh rate than the ROG Strix XG27AQM. Additionally, ASUS promises that the Fast IPS panel provides 1 ms response times, as well as VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification for 600 nits peak brightness and full area brightness of at least 350 nits.

Moreover, ASUS has included a DisplayPort 1.4 connection, via which the monitor's 300 Hz refresh rate can be utilised, and two HDMI 2.0 ports. Furthermore, the ROG Strix XG27AQMR has two USB Type-A ports that output at 5 Gbps each. The monitor has a height-adjustable stand too, and should be available in April. ASUS has not announced pricing yet, but its predecessor retailed for about €1,000.
