OLED may be the holy grail of monitors if contrast ratio is of utmost concern, but mini-LED has been slowly creeping in to be an excellent alternative. Amazon is currently offering the 32-inch Innocn 32M2V for $150 USD off the initial price of $1000 from now until March 1.
The deal is notable for its high-end specifications fit for both gaming and graphics editing. Users are getting a super-bright HDR1000 panel, 1 ms response times, 144 Hz native resolution, and 99% DCI-P3 colors. The display comes pre-calibrated and the 1152 individual mini-LEDs should offer better black levels despite the underlying IPS technology.
Key drawbacks to keep in mind are that mini-LED displays tend to be heavier, thicker, and much more power-hungry than your typical IPS or OLED monitor. These disadvantages are major reasons why mini-LED displays have yet to proliferate on laptops. For a desktop setup, however, the disadvantages are less of an issue.
