HP has started selling its first AMD Ryzen AI Max-powered mini-PC across Europe and the UK. Also now listed in the US, the compact mini workstation costs significantly more in the US than in Europe or the UK. HP also offers the Z2 Mini G1a with four Strix Halo APUs to choose from, unlike GMKtec and the EVO-X2.

It has been a few months since HP unveiled its initial AMD Strix Halo-based machines. To recap, the company introduced the ZBook Ultra 14 G1 and Z2 Mini G1a simultaneously during CES 2025 in January. While the former has been available for a few months now, HP has kept relatively quiet about the latter.

Showcased again at Computex 2025 in May, the company has quietly started selling the mini-PC in the UK. The same is true in the Eurozone, where HP offers the Z2 Mini G1a with a choice between Ryzen AI Max Pro 390 and Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 395 APUs. As it stands, HP is offering the Z2 Mini G1a with a greater choice of Strix Halo APUs than GMKtec does with the EVO-X2 (curr. $1,499.99 on Amazon).

Meanwhile, HP lists all SKUs as being out of stock in the US. However, the company's website suggests that the Z2 Mini G1a will cost significantly more in the US than in other markets. Apparently, HP will ship Z2 Mini G1a within its usual lead times where it is currently available to order. Thus, there is no pre-order period that one should be aware of. For reference, we have included a full rundown of launch pricing below before factoring in a UK-specific 10% discount using coupon code 10AI.
