New MSI mini PC features Core Ultra 7, up to 64GB RAM and Thunderbolt 4

MSI has unveiled the Cubi NUC AI 1UMG, which will be available in several model variations. Depending on the version, this new mini PC is equipped with either the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H or Intel Core Ultra 5 125H. These APUs consist of a processor and an iGPU, but also an NPU that can accelerate AI applications. Two DDR5 slots are available as well and support up to 64GB RAM. The system can also accommodate two SSDs. An M.2 2280 SSD is pre-installed, while the second PCIe M.2 2242 slot makes storage expansions pretty straightforward.

MSI’s latest mini PC measures 4.71 x 4.54 x 1.48 inches and comes with a 120W power supply. It can be secured against theft via Kensington lock, while the two USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port on the front each offer up to 10Gbps. For video output, there are two Thunderbolt 4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports. The latter can deliver up to 15 watts of power. Thanks to Power Link, the computer can be booted automatically when a connected monitor is turned on. This is particularly convenient for VESA-mounted mini PCs as users don’t have to reach behind the monitor. Meanwhile, the two Ethernet ports are located on the rear of the device and both offer up to 2.5Gbps. Depending on the configuration, Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 is available in terms of wireless connectivity.

At the time of writing, MSI has not released any pricing or availability details for the new Cubi NUC AI 1UMG. However, similarly equipped mini PCs from Asus and other brands are already available on Amazon.
