Apple introduced a refreshed iPad Air this spring, powered by the capable M3 SoC. Within the next month or so, the tablet started becoming available for discounted prices at almost every major retailer. Thanks to an ongoing sale, the iPad Air with 128 GB of storage can once again be purchased for its record-low price of just $499 on Amazon.
This time around, almost every single variant of the iPad Air lineup is on sale, boasting a $100 price cut. However, there are a few exceptions - the 512 GB variant of the 13-inch iPad Air (with cellular) flaunts a $150 discount, whereas the Starlight and Blue colorways of the 11-inch iPad Air (with cellular) variant are not on sale at all as of this writing. As stocks dwindle and time passes by, more variants of the product are likely to return to their typical list prices.
As for the product itself, there appears to be very little room for complaint. For casual users, the M3 SoC is undeniably powerful enough for the vast majority of workloads. The displays on both the 11- and 13-inch variants offer a perfectly pixel-dense viewing experience, although the IPS panels will most likely fail to satiate those who have gotten accustomed to the significantly richer contrast levels offered by OLED panels. Moreover, the audio experience offered by the iPad Air's dual-speaker setup is perfectly inoffensive, and its 36.59 Wh battery should easily last a day's use.
All told, the iPad Air M3 excels as an overall package, as indicated by our in-depth review.. Amazon's ongoing offer knocks the tablet's price down to its all-time low, making it even easier to recommend to those on the hunt for a lovely Father's Day gift.
