Xiaomi quarterly infographics portray a company taking the world by storm thanks to products such as the Mi 10 lineup and Mi TV Master Series
Xiaomi has released a number of infographics that demonstrate the amazing quarter the Chinese company has just enjoyed. Starting with the big numbers, the firm has announced that total revenue for Q2 2020 was 53.5 billion yuan (US$7.8 billion), resulting in a tidy net profit of 3.4 billion yuan (US$494 million). 271 million Xiaomi devices are connected to the company’s IoT platform and apparently the monthly active users (MAU) figure for MIUI has increased from 279 million in June 2019 to 343 million in June 2020.
Moving onto smartphones, there is no denying that Xiaomi is a major player in this sector. The company shipped 28.3 million units in Q2 2020 and enjoyed practically unbridled success with the launch of the Mi 10 range and the special Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra smartphone, which is currently topping the DxOMark smartphone camera charts on a score of 130 points. Over one million Mi 10 smartphones were shipped within two months of launch, and the Mi 10 Ultra racked up sales of over 400 million yuan (US$58 million) in just 10 minutes! With the Redmi 9 series and Redmi K30 Ultra also proving to be strong releases, Xiaomi has been looking formidable in the smartphone world.
The company has also made leaps and bounds in the smart TV sector. The launches of the Xiaomi Mi TV Master Series along with the high-concept transparent Mi TV LUX have helped the OEM become the number 1 ranked smart TV brand in China and in the top five worldwide. 2.8 million smart TVs were shipped by Xiaomi in Q2 2020, with the company exploring new markets such as Poland, France, and Italy with its Mi TV lineup. In fact, Xiaomi continues to have an impressive presence in Europe, ranking first in Spain, second in France, and fourth in Germany and Italy in regard to smartphone shipments made for the second quarter of this year.
