The Mi Note 10 series, and by extension the Mi CC9 Pro, are the forgotten children of Xiaomi. Announced after the launch of Android 10, Xiaomi released the Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro on Android 9.0 Pie. Five months on, the latest update for both devices has left people reeling.

While Xiaomi has decided to develop a Lite version of the Mi Note 10 that will run Android 10 out of the box, it seems incapable of bringing the rest of the Mi Note 10 series onto Google's latest OS. Launched in November last year on Android 9.0 Pie, neither the Mi Note 10, Mi Note 10 Pro or Mi CC9 Pro have received Android 10.

Unsurprisingly, the arrival of another Android 9.0 Pie-based update for the devices has left people unimpressed. Currently rolling out in batches, V11.0.9.0.PFDMIXM includes the March security patch, increased system stability and reduces system lags.

To date, the Mi Note 10 has only received Android 10 on the weekly beta branch of MIUI. With development for MIUI 12 already underway, it seems like Xiaomi has forgotten about the Mi Note 10 series for the time being. Android 10 may land on the Mi CC9 Pro in China before the end of April, but Xiaomi's track record suggests that it could be month's before the OS update finds its way to Global handsets.
