Xiaomi confirms new Leica Edition flagship is launching globally

Xiaomi has already confirmed that it will be hosting an international launch event later this week. Scheduled for February 28, the event will occur less than 72 hours after Samsung released the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra globally (curr. $1,299 on Amazon).
As always, Xiaomi has been running various teasers since announcing the date of its event on February 20. Previously, Xiaomi has focused on its Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra alternatives in the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. However, there has been evidence to suggest that a third smartphone is coming too.
Now, Xiaomi has confirmed as much in a new teaser. Embedded below, the Leica Edition will join the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra during the same February 28 event. Additionally, the company has revealed that the Leica Edition is launching globally as the 'Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi'.
Not only that, but the teaser embedded below indicates that leaked device photos were also accurate. Thus, we suspect that those reproduced above accurately represent what the Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi will look like when it debuts on February 28. Pricing remains unknown for now, though.
