Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 global preorders start
The buzz around Xiaomi’s new Redmi Note 2 phablet has been so big that many users around the world became interested in buying the device. However, it is only officially available in China. Fortunately, one of the biggest Chinese e-tailers has just started taking preorders for unlocked Redmi Note 2 with free shipping worldwide.
There is a significant price difference between the devices sold locally and those available for preordering abroad. The higher price is most likely supposed to compensate for the free shipping, though. Plus, unlocked versions have always been a bit more pricey.
The basic, 16 GB version of the phablet, normally priced at $125, is now available for preorder at Gearbest.com for $168.85. The Note 2 Prime, with a slightly faster CPU and 32 GB storage, normally costing $155, can be ordered for as much as $208.85.
