Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 full details leak
With just a day until the official unveiling, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 2 full specification details have been leaked. The most interesting part of the leak is that the upcoming phablet from China’s biggest handset maker will be powered by the 64-bit, octa-core MediaTek MT6795M processor (also known as the Helio X10) with clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz.
Just as previous leaks suggested, the Redmi Note 2 will feature a 5.5-inch, FullHD resolution display. The device will come with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage space (big part of which will be used by the OS and applications, of course). Fortunately, the on-board flash memory can be expanded via micro-SD card slot.
Redmi Note 2’s main camera will use a 13 MP sensor, while the front shooter will allow taking 5 MP selfies. The plastic body will be about 8 mm thin and weigh 159 grams with significant contribution of a 3100 mAh battery. The handset will run Android 5.0.2 out-of-the-box, most likely with MIUI 7 interface on top, which is also pegged for launch tomorrow.
Sources near Xiaomi also say that the company might unveil another Redmi Note 2 variant, with 3 GB of RAM on board. The price of the 2 GB version should not exceed $155. There is no pricing info on the beefier version at this point.
