Xiaomi has been hugely popular in China in last couple of years. The company also recently announced that it had sold 3 million handsets in India in just over a year. Now, it looks like the Chinese smartphone maker is planning to finally expand its business to the USA, as its Redmi 2 Pro has just been spotted at the FCC website.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro is a 4.7-inch handset with a 1280 x 720 pixel display. It’s powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and comes with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage space (partly taken by the operating system) and a 2200 mAh battery. The main camera uses an 8 MP sensor with f/2.2 lens and LED flash, while the front shooter allows taking 2 MP selfies.
The Redmi 2 Pro is already available on other countries and its prices vary between $110 and $150. The model spotted in the FCC documents is a GSM850/1900 phone supporting LTE bands 2, 4 and 7, which means it will work with AT&T and T-Mobile networks in the US.
