It's currently unlikely that Xiaomi will reveal a successor to the Mi Note or Mi Note Pro as these models were only recently released in China earlier this year. The Mi Note Pro in particular launched just a month ago in its home country. Additionally, there is speculation that the next generation of Mi smartphones will be equipped with Snapdragon 820 SoCs.
Thus, a Redmi Note 2 announcement is the more likely possibility. The Redmi Note 2 may sport an 8-core MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 processor with 5 MP and 13 MP front and rear cameras, respectively. Alleged photos of the Redmi Note 2 recently leaked online.
