Only a few days have passed since Xiaomi unveiled the 12S series, including the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Subsequently, a rumour emerged that the upcoming 12T series would include an option with a 200 MP camera, presumably the ISOCELL HP1 or ISOCELL HP3. Now, Xiaomi has certified the 22081212C with the 3C in China, apparently a relative of the 22071212AG.
As the screenshot below shows, the 22081212C will launch with the MDY-12-ED, the model number for its 120 W power adapter. Hence, the 3C has effectively confirmed that the 22081212C will support HyperCharge, a feature of multiple Xiaomi smartphones that can recharge a 4,500 mAh battery in an advertised 15 minutes. However, it is worth noting that the 22081212C will only match the Xiaomi 11T Pro in this regard.
Additionally, Xiaomi is rumoured to have settled on the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 for the 12T Pro, Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset. For reference, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is anticipated to the global version of the Redmi K50S Pro. Conversely, the Redmi K50S and Xiaomi 12T are expected to rely on the Dimensity 8100, a significantly weaker chipset than the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
Unfortunately, it remains to be seen when Xiaomi will reveal the 12T series. If the Mi 10T or 11T series are anything to go by, the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro will debut globally in September. Similarly, Xiaomi has not started teasing the Redmi K50S series yet.
