Xiaomi Poco X8s confirmed to receive global release with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and 12 GB RAM

Xiaomi has already released four smartphones this year under its Poco X8 series. To recap, the company started in March with the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max (curr. $505 on Amazon). Then in September, it added to these pair with the Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power. Based on recent leaks, a fifth model is approaching too.
Specifically, Xiaomi is alleged to be adding to its Poco X8 series with the Poco X8s. For the time being, only XimiTime has shared evidence of the name 'Poco X8s'. However, the 2609CPC5FG model number it mentioned in September has now appeared on Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
Additionally, a smartphone bearing the same model number has surfaced on Geekbench. For reference, the 'G' suffix in 2609CPC5FG denotes a global model; Xiaomi uses 'C' and 'I' for Chinese and Indian regional variants, along with 'EU' for EU models. According to Geekbench, the Poco X8s utilises the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, an octa-core chipset that should see the handset being more powerful than the existing Poco X8.
On top of that, the benchmarking platform reports that the smartphone contains 12 GB of RAM. If the Poco X8 is anything to go by, then this RAM configuration will likely be joined by at least a cheaper 8 GB option, too. Pricing and availability remain unknown at this stage.
