Xreal 1 Pro Plus AR glasses promise upgraded comfort and performance

The Xreal 1 Pro Plus artificial reality (AR) glasses have arrived with upgrades over the Xreal 1 Pro that Notebookcheck reviewed last year. The glasses allow wearers to enjoy media, games, and more when connected to laptops, phones, drones, and game consoles using a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) support.
The Xreal 1 Pro+ delivers 1,920 x 1,080 images per eye using 0.55-inch Sony Micro-OLED displays, with a 57° FOV, the same as in the prior model. Adjustable electrochromic dimming allows users to select the amount of reality that they can see when viewing virtual images.
Wearers can view 2D as well as 2D videos converted to 3D videos at 60 fps, with up to 1,200 nits of brightness, AI HDR image optimization, and Sound by Bose audio. The 2D-to-3D conversion occurs in the glasses using its X1 processor.
The glasses now offer three display modes, Standard, Gaming, and Reading, optimized for each use. The virtual screen can also be anchored in 3D space rather than moving with the user's head turns.
Along with adjustable optics to center the screens on each eye, the Xreal 1 Pro+ comes with a revised nose pad designed for greater comfort and easier adjustment. The other features of these lightweight glasses remain unchanged from the Xreal 1 Pro.
The Xreal 1 Pro Plus has an MSRP of $599. It can be ordered from the company website starting October 15, 2026, and from the Xreal store on Amazon starting October 29, 2026.
