Rokid Glasses 2 launch with upgraded design, bigger battery, and Dolby Audio support

The Rokid Glasses were released in China in 2024, and 9 months later they got a global launch as the Rokid Glasses (With Display). Rokid has now launched a follow-up model named the Rokid Glasses 2. The new smart glasses feature an upgraded design and a handful of technical upgrades.
The new Rokid Glasses 2 have a squircle frame attached to flexible temples that open up to 22% wider than those of the previous generation. Rokid also says the nosepads on the new model are more comfortable and skin-friendly, and shouldn't leave marks on the face. The glasses retain the IPX4 rating of the previous generation.
The Rokid Glasses 2 boast upgraded lenses that are reported to be 70% less reflective than those of the previous generation. Like the first-gen model, the new glasses have support for magnetic clip-on prescription lenses. The glasses have a microLED waveguide display (single green display) with a 480 × 380 resolution, 25° field of view, and 1500 nits of brightness.
The Rokid Glasses 2 have dual-processors — the BES2800BP and the Snapdragon AR1+. The latter is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon AR1 that powers the first-gen model. While the processor has been upgraded, RAM and storage remains 2GB and 32GB respectively.
The new glasses have a 12MP camera that Rokid claims is flagship-grade, and it can record in 4K at 30fps, 2K at 60fps, and 1080p at 60fps. Rokid also says it is the industry's first smart glasses with a super night video algorithm. There are also upgraded speakers with support for Dolby Audio, alongside four omnidirectional microphones and a bone conduction microphone for crystal clear audio capture, even in windy environments.
The Rokid Glasses 2 have live translate; can identify and provide information about what you are looking at; and can record and transcribe meetings and ideas. Rokid also says the Glasses 2 support desktop agents such as Hermes, Codex, OpenClaw, Alibaba's Qoder, Tencent's WorkBuddy, and OpenCode.
The glasses have Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 7 for connectivity, and there's a 263mAh battery inside the glasses, which is larger than the 210mAh of the previous generation. There's also a new Rokid Power Capsule 2 (sold separately) that can charge the glasses 6 times.
The Rokid Glasses 2 are available in two colors — Black which cost CNY 3699 (~$555/€498), and Tortoiseshell that's CNY 3849 (~$577/€518). They are available to pre-order now on major platforms such as JD.com, Tmall, and TikTok store, and will be released on November 11. Rokid hasn't announced when they will be released outside China.
