Poco releases Snapdragon-powered compact phone at an affordable price
Poco has listed the X8s on Xiaomi's official Shopee store in Vietnam ahead of a formal announcement. The smartphone is available for pre-order in two configurations and pairs a 6.35-inch display with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.
The X8s is the fifth model in the Poco X8 series, following the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max in March and the X8 and X8 Power in September. Before the retail listing, the device appeared on Geekbench and in the IMDA, EEC and IECEE certification databases under the model number 2609CPC5FG.
According to the listing, the Poco X8s has a 6.35-inch OLED display, a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide camera. The 6,330 mAh battery supports 100 W charging. The phone is IP68-rated, runs HyperOS and features a design that resembles the Redmi K90. It comes in three colorways: White, Black and Blue.
The 8 GB/256 GB model costs $437 (11,500,000 VND), and the 12 GB/512 GB model costs $532 (14,000,000 VND). Launch vouchers reduce these prices to $313 (8,242,500 VND) and $387 (10,190,000 VND). Pre-orders ship between November 6 and November 9, and early buyers receive a pair of Redmi Buds 6 Play while supplies last. Poco has not confirmed availability in other markets.
