Xiaomi's new self-developed chipset, XRing O1, is on its way. The new SoC is slated to debut later this month and word on the grapevine now indicates it will be adopted by multiple devices too.
According to Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi looks set to equip at least two devices with XRing O1. One of them will be the Xiaomi 15S Pro, as has been widely reported for months; the other, however, is more interesting. Supposedly, the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra will also be powered by XRing O1.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, initially referred to as the Xiaomi Pad 7 Max thanks to its large display, is positioned as a proper flagship model at the top of Xiaomi's tablet lineup. It's expected to feature a 14-inch OLED screen—a first for Xiaomi—and 120 W charging. The Xiaomi 15S Pro is a more elusive affair but has been rumored to be identical to the regular Xiaomi 15 Pro.
Seeing as the Xiaomi 15 Pro or previous S-series models never launched outside China, the Xiaomi 15S Pro isn't expected to either. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra may be a different matter, as Xiaomi tends to release most of its tablets on the global market eventually. All of that is conjecture, though, and only time will tell.
Reportedly, the Xiaomi 15S Pro and Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra will launch later this month in China alongside XRing O1. They'll be joined by the Civi 5 Pro, other appliances, and also Xiaomi's new YU7 SUV electric vehicle.
