Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, Mi A3 and Poco F2 Pro are all set to gain native call recording
Native call recording has been available on some Xiaomi handsets for a while, but it is not a feature that the company includes on all devices or regional variants. However, it seems that Xiaomi is working on bringing the functionality to more devices, including the Poco F2 Pro. Recently released in the UK, the Poco F2 Pro is a re-branded Redmi K30 Pro that packs a Snapdragon 865 SoC and a 4,700 mAh battery among other hardware.
According to a moderator of Mi Community, the Poco F2 Pro will receive native call recording via a software update. There does not appear to be a date by when this update will arrive, nor which branches of MIUI it will reach.
Xiaomi has brought the functionality to the Mi A2 Lite and Mi A3, too. Again introduced via a software update, it seems that the feature is only available for beta testers at the time of writing. According to multiple reports, the feature works insofar as it saves an audio file. However, it currently does not record any audio, which is rather crucial. Nonetheless, the feature should allow people to ditch third-party call recorder apps when it is pushed to the stable branches of MIUI.
