Xbox adds a highly rated third-person shooter with more than 85,000 reviews to Game Pass

Xbox keeps expanding its Game Pass library every month, and the latest addition is a big one. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has officially joined Xbox Game Pass (for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and cloud), giving Ultimate and Premium subscribers a chance to jump into one of the most intense action games of recent years. 

Space Marine 2 was released in 2024 and was widely praised for its combat, gameplay, and story. This is one of the reasons it has over 85,000 reviews on Steam, with 86% of them being positive.

As for what the game offers, players once again step into the role of Lieutenant Demetrian Titus, continuing the story from the original 2011 game. You play as a Space Marine, a genetically enhanced warrior created to protect the Imperium of Man. This time, the main threat comes from the Tyranids, a terrifying alien race that attacks in massive numbers.

The game is played from a third-person perspective and is built around large battles where enemies swarm you from all directions. Beyond the campaign, Space Marine 2 offers several multiplayer options. There are PvE and PvP modes where you can play as different Space Marine classes, each with its own abilities and playstyle. As you progress, you unlock perks, upgrade weapons, and customize your armor with a wide range of cosmetic options.

The game also features a three-player Siege mode, where you fight endless waves of Tyranids and Chaos enemies. You earn points by surviving each wave and can use them to buy ammo, healing items, or call in powerful reinforcements like additional Space Marines or even a Dreadnought.
