The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is a strong contender in the highly competitive mid-range segment. In our review, the stylish smartphone scores very well in terms of battery life and its bright curved display.

The 6.67-inch Motorola Edge 60 Pro immediately wins you over with its appearance. Its high-quality, IP69-certified body weighs just 186 grams and feels nice to hold thanks to its rubberized back cover. The blue and purple color variants feature a nylon textured back, while the beige variant has a faux leather finish.

Curved display with 4000 nits

The curved display, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, gives the Motorola smartphone an excellent screen-to-surface ratio of 96%. The Edge 60 Pro has another trump card in regard to screen brightness, which peaks at over 4000 nits and so can be used outdoors without issue. However, the high amplitude of the PWM dimming may be annoying for users sensitive to screen flickering.

Lasts 10 hours longer than the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE

In our tests, the Edge 60 Pro delivers above-average results in terms of battery life thanks to its 6000 mAh battery and moderate power consumption. It reaches almost 22.5 hours in our Wi-Fi test, lasting considerably longer than competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE (12.5 hours) or the Xiaomi 14T (around 18 hours).

The MediaTek Dimensity 8350 confers solid mid-range performance and enables the Edge 60 Pro to run current games quite smoothly. The storage configuration is quite generous at 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The triple camera, which also includes 3x optical zoom, allows for solid photos. Other features include fast 90-watt charging, eSIM support and numerous Bluetooth codecs.

Now for the critcisim, which is twofold. Firstly, the limited update schedule, which consists of three OS upgrades and four years of security updates, meaning that support ends in 2029. Secondly, the smartphone can get quite warm under prolonged load. In our tests, we measured surface temperatures of up to 58°C.
