Vanpowers has revealed the City Vanture e-bike. The company claims that the pedelec is the world’s first assembled-frame e-bike. An assembled frame reduces the frame alignment tolerance to below 1 mm; for context, the racing standard is 0.2 mm. Plus, the Aero 6061 aluminum frame comes with a two-year warranty.
The City Vanture is a lightweight road e-bike weighing 34 lbs (~15.5 kg). The pedelec has an 80-mile (~130 km) range, and an optional battery extender can double the capacity. You can fully charge the 7 Ah LG3500 lithium-ion battery in two hours.
The pedelec has a top speed of 25 kph (~40 kph), with a Gates Carbon Drive and 1-5 PAS levels for a smoother experience. A walk assistance function makes it easier for you to transport the bike on foot. The e-bike has headlights and a color LCD screen to display information about the cycle and your journey.
The City Vanture has debuted at Eurobike 2022 Messe Frankfurt, alongside the Seine vintage-style city e-bike. Vanpowers is currently crowdfunding on Indiegogo, where you can get the City Vanture e-bike by pledging US$1,599 to the campaign; the device will eventually retail for US$2,199. The pedelec is available in 11 colors and is expected to ship in November.
