The Thömus Lightrider E Ultimate is now available to pre-order. The company claims that it is the lightest full-suspension e-mountain bike in the world, weighing 14.6 kg (~32 lbs), just 3.5 (~8 lbs) heavier than the Lightrider World Cup model.
The bike is light thanks to the maxon BIKEDRIVE AIR drive unit, with a top assistance speed of 25 kph (~20 mph) and delivering over 30 Nm torque. The motor has free wheel technology which the company claims allows for natural-feeling pedal assistance. Plus, the eMTB has an Ultra High Modulus Carbon frame, available in various sizes from XS to XL to suit the rider.
The mountain bike has 29-tires with up to 150 mm front suspension travel and up to 140 mm rear travel. A 12-speed gear shift is used on the pedelec, including a 4-piston brake. The Lightrider E Ultimate can be equipped with 250 Wh, 360 Wh or 426 Wh batteries to suit your needs.
You can pre-order the Thömus Lightrider E Ultimate in Switzerland starting from 10,005 CHF (~US$10,154). The bike is available in red, black or white with various optional upgrades and accessories, including a battery range extender. Deliveries of the eMTB are expected to start in October.
