Brompton Electric P Line: Urban folding e-bike launches weighing 15.6 kg
Brompton has launched a new e-bike, the Electric P Line: Urban. The company describes the compact, folding pedelec as Superlight, weighing 15.6 kg (~34.4 lbs); if you remove the battery pack, the bike weighs 12.7 kg (~13.0 lbs). Brompton says that the Advance Rear Frame and weight-saving components make the bike easier to transport. The company claims that you can fold the bike in 20 seconds and then carry or roll it thanks to 54 mm (2.1-in) Advance Roller Wheels and an optional Roller Rack.
When folded, the Electric P Line: Urban measures 645 x 565 x 270 mm (25.3 x 23 x 10.6-in). The pedelec has a 4-speed gearing system with smart pedal assist. On the front wheel is a 250 W brushless DC motor that can assist you at speeds up to 16 mph (25 kph). A removable 300 Wh lithium-ion battery pack provides a range of up to 45 miles (~70 km). You can fully recharge the battery in four hours or two hours with the Brompton SuperFast Charger. Plus, the bike is fitted with the Brompton Advance Suspension block for enhanced handling.
The e-bike has LED front and rear lights, and a 25.4 mm Quadlock mount for your phone. You can view information about your bike and your journey in the Brompton Electric app. You can buy the Brompton Electric P Line: Urban e-bike in the UK for £3,695 (~US$4,398). The pedelec is available in storm grey metallic or midnight black metallic, with your choice of mid or high handlebars.
