The Apollo Pro e-scooter is now available to pre-order in the US. This is the company’s first hyper scooter with a dual motor drive and its MACH1, or M1, controller. The controller collects 22 data points each second via ten sensors, such as GPS location, bringing a range of features to the vehicle. For example, the M1 can detect a fall and notify your chosen emergency contact; the scooter will eventually offer collision warnings.
The motor can provide speeds up to 43 mph (~69 kph), with up to 62 miles (~100 km) of range on a single charge. The e-scooter has a phone-as-display feature; a mount allows you to attach your smartphone to the vehicle with wireless charging abilities. The scooter has Dual Hydraulic Suspension and regenerative braking technology that can boost your battery charge level up to 10%.
The Apollo Pro has 360° lights, which you can control via the accompanying app. Plus, you can use a built-in speaker as a horn, an alarm or stream music. The scooter’s unibody frame is made of aircraft-grade aluminum to support loads up to 330 lbs (~150 kg). The Apollo Pro e-scooter is expected to retail for US$3,599. You can currently reserve a scooter in the US with a US$20 deposit, with deliveries forecast to start in Q1 2023.
