Honor Tablet 8 leaks with a 2K display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset
It seems that Honor is developing another Android tablet, codenamed HEY-W09. Said to be called the Tablet 8, Pad 8 or Tab 8, the tablet is thought to be the successor to Honor's 7th generation tablets, which it introduced in 2021. Allegedly, the Tablet 8 could launch with hardware predating the likes of the Tablet V7 Pro, though.
Specifically, the Honor Tablet 8 is expected to rely on the Snapdragon 680, a 4G chipset that we have already reviewed in the Nova 9 SE and Oppo A76, among other devices. Incidentally, Honor sources the Snapdragon 680 4G for the X7, X8 and X9 4G. In other words, the Honor Tablet 8 will likely be on the cheaper side and probably a lower mid-range tablet whenever it launches.
Additionally, the Honor Tablet 8 is rumoured to feature a 2K display, although other display details are unknown at this stage. Similarly, the tablet could support 22.5 W fast charging. If that is the case, it would only match the Tablet V7 Pro, which has an advertised 125-minute recharging time for its 7,250 mAh battery. Presumably, other details will emerge about the Honor Tablet 8 before its announcement, including whether the company intends to sell a Pro model.
