Valve has officially announced the 2025 Steam Awards winners, bringing an end to weeks of community voting. The voting process began back in November 2025, allowing Steam users to choose their favorites across multiple categories. And now, the results are finally in.
Hollow Knight: Silksong has won Game of the Year at the 2025 Steam Awards. The long-awaited Metroidvania sequel was finally released last year after a very long development cycle, and it quickly became one of the biggest games on Steam. Silksong did not stop with just one award. It also won “Best Game You Suck At,” a category that highlights games known for their difficulty and demanding gameplay. This makes Silksong the only game to pick up two awards at the Steam Awards.
Many, however, were expecting Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to win Game of the Year, which had already picked up several major awards at other events. But while it didn’t win GOTY, it did manage to take home the Best Soundtrack award. With that said, here are all the winners of the 2025 Steam Awards:
