At The Game Awards 2025, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 caused a surprise by winning nine nominations and the GOTY award. And this is a great achievement for the small team at Sandfall Interactive, who can be proud of their work. But that's not all, because this JRPG will now offer new free content for all players, as a gift to thank the game's fans.
It was during his speech that Guillaume Broche spoke on this subject, referring to an announcement made several months earlier:
"If you remember, we promised some content a few months ago. I'm very happy to say that it's releasing now and you can just go home and play it. It's free. New weapons, new quest, new boss. Just cool stuff.”
Indeed, during this summer, an announcement was made on X, suggesting that new features would soon be coming. In this tweet, the developers specified that improvements would be available, including new content, as well as other new additions to the maps. And although all this remains a mystery, players of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be able to enjoy this new content starting tonight.
Moreover, if this game won many trophies at The Game Awards 2025, Guillaume Broche wanted to thank the players, without whom none of this would have happened:
"Your endless arguing about which ending is a good one, that's wonderful to read. You changed our lives, you changed the studio's life, it's really wonderful, thank you.”
