Xiaomi's Redmi Note series offers some of its best-selling smartphones ever. The company has shown a willingness to trickle down premium features down to phones in the lineup, and it appears the next Redmi Note, the Redmi Note 11, could be a similar case.
According to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi looks set to equip the Redmi Note 11 with 67 W fast charging. The company has steadily pushed the limits of fast charging in the industry over the past 18 months. The Mi 10 Ultra was the first device to offer charging in the realm of 120 W and while Xiaomi reverted to 67 W charging on the Mi 11 series, the new Xiaomi 11T Pro will offer 120 W as well.
Going by the source, it appears Xiaomi's next-gen premium phones will offer 120 W charging. The mid-range Redmi Note series will, as a result, see a bump up to the 67 W charging currently available on the Mi 11 lineup. Trickle-down economics at its finest. The Redmi Note 10 series is currently equipped with 33 W charging. That can hardly be considered inadequate—it's better than the 25 W on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, for example—but is still a huge step forward.
