Redmi Note 11 tipped to offer big camera improvement over the Redmi Note 10
With the Redmi Note 10 series now over six months old, it appears Xiaomi has set its sights on the next generation of phones in the lineup, the Redmi Note 11. A new leak appears to have revealed one major detail about the upcoming mid-range phones as well.
According to Chinese source Bald Panda, the Redmi Note 11 will be equipped with a 50 MP camera. It's unknown if that's valid for both the Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11 Pro but it looks more likely that the vanilla Redmi Note 11 was the subject of the leak.
The leaker clarifies that the sensor in question will be OmniVision's OV50A, a 50 MP sensor with a 1/1.5-inch size and a 1 μm native pixel size. Either way, it should be a distinct upgrade on the 1/2.25-inch 48 MP IMX582 on the Redmi Note 10.
It should be recalled that, weeks ago, we reported that Xiaomi would prioritize 50 MP cameras for its future mid-range phones. The Redmi 10 marked the start of that policy and the Redmi Note 11 looks set to continue in a similar vein.
