Redmi Note 11 series and Redmi Watch 2 officially confirmed for October 28 debut
Much has been said about Xiaomi's next-gen mid-range phones, the Redmi Note 11 series. Reports claimed the company could debut the phones in November, but those have now been debunked, with Xiaomi confirming a November launch for the series in China.
As officially revealed by Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 11 series will debut on October 28 in China. It's unknown how many devices will be revealed on that day but the Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11 Pro are all but assured. A Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus with 120 W charging also looks likely.
The Redmi Note 11 series will not be Xiaomi's only mobile tech product to debut on October 28, however. The company has also announced that the Redmi Watch 2 will be launched alongside the mid-range phones, and fans will hope it's an improvement on the first-gen Redmi Watch. Leaker Digital Chat Station touts a bigger display, improved health-monitoring features, and waterproofing.
Details of the Redmi Note 11 series remain unconfirmed. Leaks have claimed a Dimensity 810 for the Redmi Note 11, and a Dimensity 920 for the Redmi Note 11 Pro. That sounds a bit iffy, as the Redmi Note 10 Pro in China already uses a MediaTek Dimensity 1100. It's hard to believe that Xiaomi would use a worse chipset on a next-gen phone. Some tipped features of the Redmi Note 11 series include OLED displays, side-mounted fingerprint readers, and stereo speakers.
