LG is currently running a major sale on its website that has seen the ultralight 17-inch Gram Pro drop to one of its best prices. At only 0.6-inch thin and 3.26 lbs, it is remarkably lightweight for its size and includes a dedicated GPU. Originally $2,899.99, LG has slashed $500 off its list price, bringing it down to $2,399.99. It's still a hefty price to pay, but LG is throwing in a 1440p 300 Hz monitor (valued at $449.99) to sweeten the deal.
A lighter 17-inch powerhouse
Released last year, the LG Gram Pro 17-inch is an excellent option for users needing a large-screen laptop without the usual bulk or sacrificing performance. This configuration (17Z90TR-E.ADB7U1) adds a dedicated RTX 5050 GPU to complement the already impressive Intel Core Ultra 7 255H CPU. With the onboard 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8400 RAM, that's sufficient horsepower for everyday use, multitasking, and even some heavy video editing. It's still not a full replacement for a desktop or workstation laptop, but you'll be hard-pressed to find something more powerful without lugging around a much heavier brick.
With a 17-inch, 2560 x 1600 screen, the LG Gram Pro 17 offers plenty of screen real estate for multitasking and a high 178 PPI, which should make programming or reading through documents less straining. Colors are vibrant thanks to 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and it also features a higher 144 Hz refresh rate, which is ideal for casual gaming as well. As with other business-oriented laptops, it also comes with a bunch of built-in AI features. For more details, check our review of the LG Gram 17 2025.
The notebook managed 22 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing in our testing, meaning it should comfortably last through a full workday, provided you are not doing heavy editing or gaming. Other highlights include Dolby Atmos speakers, Wi-Fi 7, and a solid selection of ports, such as HDMI and Thunderbolt 4. That said, the RAM is soldered and not upgradeable, and the chassis does not feel quite as premium as some similarly priced alternatives, such as the M4 Pro MacBook Pro (curr: $2,258.53 at Amazon).
Solid 1440p monitor for gaming and productivity
As part of the deal, LG is including the Ultragear 27G640A-B, a 27-inch QHD gaming monitor with a fast 300 Hz refresh rate. The monitor is priced at $449.99 on the LG website, but is currently discounted to $229.99. It pairs the 300 Hz refresh rate with a 1 ms response time and VRR support through G-Sync and FreeSync Premium, both useful for competitive gaming. When not gaming, the 1440p resolution provides a sharp, larger display for working with multiple apps.
