Thunderobot unveiled a bunch of new products at CES 2026 (the event ended January 9), and the Station was one of them. Featuring a Steam Machine-esque form factor, it's a Strix Halo mini PC that features the Ryzen AI Max+ 395. This APU has a capable RDNA 3.5 iGPU, the Radeon 8060S.
Per Notebookcheck's tests, this Radeon iGPU comes close to the Nvidia RTX 4070 Laptop GPU in terms of performance, making the mini PC a better performer than the Steam Machine, at least on paper. Looking at the showcase at CES 2026, it seems that the Thunderobot Station will feature a decent selection of ports, with one DisplayPort and two HDMI ports in the mix. Much like the Steam Machine, there's an SD card reader as well (SanDisk 256GB Ultra curr. $29.99 on Amazon).
The company didn't share much else about this Steam Machine-esque mini PC, but if the demo system at CES 2026 is any indication, the product will come with a beefy cooling setup. Of course, Thunderobot did mention that the system is designed to handle AI workloads, implying that it will be offered in relatively high RAM and storage configurations.
There are no details about the pricing and availability of the system yet, but the Thunderobot Station could soon launch in China. It's unclear whether the mini PC will see a wide global availability, as Thunderobot products aren't typically offered in the international market.
